Who I Am
I'm Wilson Pun.
I build businesses.
For more than two decades, I've been drawn to opportunities where something needed to be built, improved, or reimagined. I've launched companies, opened untapped markets, led large-scale operations, and helped entrepreneurs bring their ideas to life.
My background spans water treatment, healthcare, hospitality, telecommunications, consulting, and technology. That mix lets me look at a business problem from multiple angles — and find the practical solution that actually moves it forward.

My Story
I've always been drawn to things that needed to be built.
My career didn't start in a boardroom. It started in hospitality — more than 18 years of leading people, running daily operations, and learning what it actually takes to keep a business running when things get hard. That foundation shaped everything that came after: how I lead, how I solve problems, and how I treat people.
From there I moved into consultative sales — Verizon, Google Fiber, AquaLife — where I learned to win on honesty instead of pressure. I opened brand-new territories from zero, built pipelines on trust and referrals, and figured out how to turn a conversation into a long-term relationship.
Then I started building my own things. I founded NY Water Solutions, a residential water treatment business, and later Blue Tap Water Solutions — an authorized independent Kinetico dealership that I built from the ground up: the brand, the technology, the go-to-market engine, and the day-to-day operations.
Along the way, I served as Deputy Director for New York City Health + Hospitals, helping lead operations during one of the city's largest humanitarian emergency response efforts — coordinating large teams and government agencies under intense pressure and public scrutiny. It taught me that clear thinking and calm execution matter most exactly when everything is chaotic.
Why I Built YourIdeaToLaunch
Because good ideas deserve more than good advice.
Through BlueCreek Advisors and my own ventures, I kept meeting founders and business owners with real potential who were stuck — not because their ideas were bad, but because nobody was helping them turn strategy into actual systems and execution.
YourIdeaToLaunch is my answer to that. It's a founder-led studio where I work directly with entrepreneurs and growing businesses to launch, modernize, and scale. Not slide decks that sit in a drawer — real brands, real systems, real growth.
How I Think
Business first. Technology second.
Every industry I've worked in — water treatment, healthcare, hospitality, telecommunications, consulting, technology — taught me the same lesson: the businesses that win aren't the ones with the fanciest tools. They're the ones with clarity about who they serve, how they deliver value, and how they earn trust.
So I always start with the business problem, not the technology. What's actually holding this business back? What would make the customer experience genuinely better? What system would remove real friction? Then — and only then — do I reach for the tools.
Leadership Philosophy
I believe lasting success is built on trust, collaboration, and delivering meaningful value. I've led teams in restaurants, in the field, and through citywide emergencies — and the same thing is true everywhere: people do their best work when they're trusted, developed, and treated with respect. Build businesses. Develop people. Create partnerships. Deliver growth.
My Approach to AI
AI is a tool I use — not a product I sell. At Blue Tap, I designed AI-powered customer engagement, CRM automation, and proposal generation that let a local dealership deliver the kind of experience you'd expect from a much larger company. That's what AI should do: simplify work, improve customer experiences, and free people to focus on what matters. Technology should simplify business — not complicate it.
What Clients Can Expect
Straight talk, real work, and no jargon. I won't hand you a strategy document and disappear — I build with you. You get someone who has actually launched businesses, opened markets, led large operations, and made payroll. I'll tell you honestly what I think, focus on what moves the needle, and stay grounded in what your business actually needs.

Beyond the Work
What actually motivates me.
What I enjoy most isn't the deal or the launch day — it's the moment when someone's idea stops being an idea. When a founder sees their business actually working, taking on customers, standing on its own. Helping people get there never gets old for me.
I genuinely like the puzzle of it, too. Every business has a knot somewhere — a process that's too slow, a message that isn't landing, a system that doesn't scale. Untangling that knot is the part of the work I'd do even if nobody paid me for it.
And I care about the relationships more than the projects. Most of the people I've worked with are still in my life — as clients, partners, or friends. That's not an accident. I use technology to support people, not replace them, and I believe trust, execution, and consistency are what create long-term success. Everything else is just tools.
